Rare Antique William Home Lizars (1788-1859), Edingburg fine hand coloured print

William Home Lizars (1788 - 1859) was a painter, engraver and publisher in Edinburgh. His father was a publisher and an engraver, and taught William how to engrave. William led the family publishing business "Lizars" to become the experts in making finely detailed engravings of natural history subjects.

This is a genuine antique, made in the 1840s.

This a beautiful detailed print. This print is over 160 years old and as such there may be some faint yellowing of the paper, slight fading and occasional faint spotting, but it is in excellent condition for its age.

* Only one available.

Comes complete with a quality bespoke British handmade black frame, double mount with acrylic glazing.

All of our prints are framed to order, therefore please allow up to two weeks for delivery.

Please contact us prior to ordering if you have any queries.

Other frame and mount colours are available by request, so please get in touch.
